Liquid binder
Modified silicate binder technology for warm-box core making.
01 / INORGANIC BINDERS
Warm-box inorganic binder systems with a focus on humidity resistance and core removal in aluminum and iron casting.

THE LCIWB SYSTEM
Modified silicate binder technology for warm-box core making.
A matched powder selected for the binder grade and casting application.
An optional third component to strengthen performance under humid storage conditions.
HUMIDITY RESISTANCE / LABORATORY EVIDENCE
LCIWB two-component and three-component systems, tested under the same reported storage conditions.
| LCIWB system | At 1 hour | After humid storage | Strength retained |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two-component | 6.60 MPa | 5.73 MPa | ≈87% |
| Three-component | 6.68 MPa | 6.06 MPa | ≈91% |
Humid storage: a further 2 hours at 25°C / 80% RH. Retention compares post-storage strength with the one-hour result.
Flexural strength; 40–70 Dalin roasted sand. Equal bar scale: 0–7 MPa. Values rounded from LANCO laboratory data. Results apply to the tested systems and conditions.

WATER-DROP COMPARISON
Water is absorbed by the competitor resin sample. On the LANCO sample, the droplet remains visible with no apparent surface change during the recording.
Surface water response is shown here; the humidity-storage test above measures retained core strength.

From monitored validation to sustained production: following successful cylinder-head trials, the customer switched to LANCO and has used the system continuously for two years.
LANCO worked with the foundry on ongoing in-line monitoring and full-process inspection. No issues were reported during validation.
The successful validation supported the customer's transition to the LANCO binder system.
Continuous use followed the switch. The 6,000-piece figure refers to the validation batch, not total production.
Aluminum applications in China include cylinder heads and subframes for leading global automotive OEMs.
Production history updated October 2026.
